Briquette - What it is and what it's good for
The briquette (ecologic firewood) is a roduct obtained from the mechanic compaction of several leftovers (sawdust and maravalha). It constitutes an excellent energetic substitute to combustibles such as firewood, oil, charcoal, and mainly electric energy

Characteristics of the product:
- Low smoke generation due to the ash, soot and small percentage of humidity;
- It is necessary to bring down 10 trees in order to produce 01 ton of coal;
- 01 ton of briquette corresponds to 07 m3 of common firewood approximately;
- the briquette is a product made using reforestation sawdust and exotic species as pines;
- High calorific power;
- greater flame temperature;
- thermal Regularity;
- easy to manipulate;
- Less space needed for the storage;
- Minor pollution rate in relation to the vegetal and mineral coil, firewood, oil etc.;
- Ecologically correct reduces considerably the deforestation.

Conclusions:
I) Density:
In relation to the firewood it is 145% more dense than coil and 309%.
II) Humidity:
The briquette has its residual humidity inferior to all the other competitors in the chart above.
III) Heating Power:
It is 25,42% more efficient compared to the firewood and 43,96% less than coil.
IV) Energetic Concentration:
It is 252% more efficient than firewood and 224% more efficient than coil.
The energetic efficiency is what must be considered in the relationship cost / benefit, since all the products have as a main objective the energy generation, for this the briquette is more efficient than its competitors.
